"BARFORD HUNDRED, one of the ten hundreds or subdivisions of the county of Bedford, situated in the northeast part of the county, and bounded on the N. by Stodden hundred and the county of Huntingdon, on the east by Biggleswade hundred, on the south by Wixamtree hundred, and on the west by Willey hundred and a part of Stodden hundred It contains the parishes of Great Barford, Colmworth, Eaton-Socon, Goldington, Ravensden, Renhold, Roxton, and Wilden. The area of the hundred is about 26,000 acres."

• "BIGGLESWADE HUNDRED, one of the nine hundreds or subdivisions of the county of Bedford, lying on the eastern side of the county, and bounded on the north by Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire, on the east by Cambridgeshire, on the S. by the hundred of Clifton, and on the west by the hundred of Wixamtree. It comprises the parishes of Astwick, Little Barford, Biggleswade, Dunton, Edworth, Everton, Eyworth, Cockayne Hatley, Langford, Potton, Sutton, Tempsford, and Wrestlingworth, with the chief part of Sandy. The hundred contains about 28,260 acres."
