"STEEPLE GIDDING, a parish in the hundred
of LEIGHTONSTONE, county of HUNTINGDON, 6 miles
(S.W. by S.) from Stilton, containing 93 inhabitants;
The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Huntingdon, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £8. 17 85. J. Heathcote, Esq. was
patron in 1807. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew."
