ALLERTHORPE:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1868.

"ALLERTHORPE, a parish in the Wilton Beacon division of the wapentake of Harthill, and the liberty of St. Peter of York, in the East Riding of the county of York, 2 miles S.W. of Pocklington. It includes the township of Waplington, and is near the canal. The living is a curacy united with the vicarage of Thornton, in the diocese of York, value £210, in the patronage of the archbishop. The charities amount to £19, and there are two poor's cottages."
