BURTON PIDSEA:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1868.

"BURTON PIDSEA, a parish in the middle division of the wapentake of Holderness, in the East Riding of the county of York, 12 miles to the E. of Hull, its post town. It is situated, as its name indicates, not far from the seacoast, and on rising ground, commanding a fine view. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of York, worth £42, in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of York. The church is in the perpendicular style, and is dedicated to SS. Peter and Mary."
