The Arms of Robert Crompton found in the Churchyard.
These brasses were found in the
Churchyard here in the year 1905.
They bear the arms of Robert Crompton
who died in 1646 and of his wife, Jane,
the daughter of Samuel Culverwell
Rector of Cherry Burton from
1567 to 1618 and also those of his
second wife Anne, daughter of
Francis Haldenby of Haldenby
Co. of York.
