"NORTH FERRIBY, a village in the parish of its name, in the east riding, six miles from South Cave and eight from Hull, is pleasantly situated in the proximity of the Humber, and several handsome residences give an air of opulence to the place. The church is dedicated to All Saints, and the King is patron of the living. Here is one of those useful establishments for instruction a national school. The parish contained, by the census of 1821, 765 inhabitants, and the village 347 of that number."
