A.M.D.G.
This Church, erected soemtime in the
twelfth century, in memory of Saint
Edmund, King & Martyr. (A.D. 870) was
completely restored in the year 1908, from
designs by Mr. Temple Mooore, Architect.
London. The cost of restoration was
upwards of £650 which was raised by
means of donations and monthly collections.
The Dedicatory Service was conducted by the
Venerable C.C. Mackarness, Archdeacon of
the East Riding, on the 22nd Day of October 1908.
