SKEFFLING:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1835.

"SKEFFLING, a parish in the southern division of the wapentake of HOLDERNESS, East riding of the county of YORK, 4 miles E.S.E. from Patrington, containing 201 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of the East riding, and diocese of York, rated in the king's books at £5, endowed with £600 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Rector of Rise. The church, dedicated to St. Helen, is principally in the later style of English architecture. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists."
