SKIDBY:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1835.

"SKIDBY, a parish in the Hunsley-Beacon division of the wapentake of HARTHILL, East riding of the county of YORK, 4 miles S.W. from Beverley, containing 313 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Cottingham, in the archdeaconry of the East riding, and diocese of York. The church is dedicated to St. Michael. Eight children are educated for the proceeds of £150, the gift of John Marshall in 1803."
