"FAXFLEET, in the parish of South Cave, in the E.R. of Yorkshire, on the Humber, 10 m. W. from Hull, was, in the R. of Edw. III. the Lp. of Ralph Ld. Nevil of Raby, one of the chief of the Lollards; in the R. of Hen. VI. it bel. to Will. de la Pole D. of Suffolk, and in that of Edw. IV. to Henry Bromslete, who left it by will to be sold, for erecting chantrie's and charities,"
