This tablet records a Be-
quest of the late
Mr. THOMAS WRIGHT
of this Place, who bequeathed
by his Will dated June 14th 1838
ONE HUNDRED POUNDS
for the relief of the necessitous
Poor of the Parish of Welwick.
 
The Interest thereof to be expend-
ed in the purhase of Coals, to be
distributed at Xtmas or Easter annually
forever by the Minister and Churchwardens
the Trustees for the Charity.
