The place:
A parish in the west-division of Langbargh; 2½ miles from Stokesley, 5½ from
Guisborough, 10 from Stockton (Co. Durham), 45 from York. Population
1,023. The Church is a perpetual curacy, dedicated to All Saints, in the
deanery of Cleveland.
