The place:
A parish in the west-division of Langbargh; 2 miles from Yarm, 6 from
Stokesley, and Tontine Inn, 10 from Northallerton, 40 from York. Population
282. The Church is a perpetual curacy, dedicated to St. Martin, in the deanery
of Cleveland.
