The place:
A parish in the wapentake of Bulmer, Liberty of St. Peter; 2 miles from York,
15 from Easingwold, 18 from Malton. Population 176. The Church, a
prebendal peculiar, is a vicarage, dedicated to St. Thomas, in the deanery of
Bulmer.
