The Benefactions of William Atkinson in St. Patrick's Church, Patrick Brompton.


BENEFACTIONS

A D 1845 Mr. William Atkinson of Patrick Brompton left £100 to the School in this place (which was built and endowed by his ancestor Samuel Atkinson in the Year 1707) for the purpose of teaching as many poor Children belonging to the Parish and Township of Patrick Brompton as the Interest of the said sum will pay for; the children taught are to be chosen by the Trustees of Mr. William Atkinson but if the master of the said School should be negligent or inattentive then the said Interest to be applied or given to some other Schoolmaster in the neighbourhood for teaching poor children as aforesaid.
