Formerly of Howe in this parish, by his will dated 24th August 1864, gave the sum of £300 free from legacy only to be laid out in the purchase of 3 percent consols, and the income thereof to be applied forever, one moie ty for the benefit of the poor inhabi- tants and the schools of this parish, and the other moiety to be applied for the benefit of the poor of the Township of Howe, the same to be applied at the discretion of the Vicar and Churchwar dens for the time being of this parish. By an order of the court of Chancery, dated 26th March 1858, the said sum of £300 after deduction of the expenses of the order and investment was paid out in the purchase of £286.16.9. £3 percent Consols now standing in the name of the Accountant General of the Court of Chancery in the matter of the Trusts of the said will.
