"ROKEBY, a parish in the N.R. of Yorkshire."


"EGGLESTON, (or Eggleton) in the parish of Rokeby, in the North Riding of Yorkshire, on the Tees, near Barnard-Cattle, had formerly a mon. but is famous for nothing now, except a good quarry of marble."


"GRETA BRIDGE, in the parish of Rokeby, in the North Riding of Yorkshire, near Rookby, and not far from Bowes, has been a camp of the Romans, whose coins are often found here."
