The place: GATEFORTH.     Church dedication: CHAPEL.

Peculiar. - Perpetual Curacy. -Area, vide Brayton. Barkston Ash wapentake, L. D. -Population, 223, vide Brayton ; Church-room, 300; Net value, £105. An unaugmented Curacy. A Chantry was founded at Gateforth in 1332 by John de Lacy.

In the year 18--, a Chapel was built and endowed by Humphrey Osbaldeston, Esq.

No return as to Registers. Marriages are celebrated at Brayton.

There is no glebe house.
