BURGHWALLIS:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1835.

"BURGHWALLIS, a parish in the upper division of the wapentake of OSGOLDCROSS, West riding of the county of YORK, 7 miles N.N.W. from Doncaster, containing, with Haywood and Button, 237 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of York, rated in the king's books at £14. 6.10., and in the patronage of M. Tasburgh, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Helen."
