CASTLEFORD:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1829.

"CASTLEFORD, a village in the parish of its name, in the same wapentake as Pontefract, three miles from that town, is a place of some trade, having an extensive pottery, a mill for grinding flint, &c. It contains a good parish school and a Sunday school, and, in 1821, 1,022 inhabitants."
