The place:
A parish in the County of Nottinghamshire, hundred of Bassettlaw; 3 miles
from Bawtry. The village and most of the parish of Finningley is in
Nottinghamshire, but the townships of Aukley and Blaxton, and Finningley
Park House, and part of the park, with a cottage, are in Yorkshire.
