These transcriptions were originally carried out by Wath and Mexborough
archives (now defunct). These were typewritten documents written using
a golf-ball typewriter with a script golf-ball. The script golf-ball
made it impossible to OCR these documents, and so Jack Parry of Orleans,
Vermont, U.S.A. has transcribed these documents which you see here.
Of course, two levels of transcriptions means two sets of errors, so if
you find any errors, please contact the transcriber (see bottom of each page).
The last transcribed gravestone is from the mid 1980s.
In the documents we have, there is no mention of who did the original transcriptions. If you were this person or part of the group, please drop us a line.
A plan of the graveyard by Wath and Mexborough Archives
is included.
Also included is index of the people named on the stones etc.,
but please note that stones with only Christian names or only surnames do not
appear in this index.
