to preistes & scolers, according to the custom of the kirk. I will that my wif and my childre have
my take in my fermhold in Kendale and my closse called Frey Bank in Kendale. I make Alison
my wif, George my sonne, and Petir Brame, executors. I make William Marshal supervisor,
praying him to be good kynsman to myself, yt. is to say my saule, and my wif and my childre.
Also I pray you, my lord th' abbot of Cristall, to be good lord to hys pore kynswoman my wif and
her childre, for Goddy's sake, as they pray for you and yours.
