SHEFFIELD-GARDEN STREET.
(CONGREGATIONAL.)

This church was originally formed by the secession, in 1801, of several members from Queen Street and Howard Street. They first met in Coalpit Lane, and removed to this chapel, which had been built in 1780 by a body of Independent Methodists, under the ministry of Rev. Mr. Bristol. On the 31st March, 1803, the Methodist trustees sold the chapel to the Rev. A. Bell, and on April 3, that gentleman and his congregation removed to it.
