Although Kelbrook is recorded as a township
in the Domesday Book, it was not until 1839 that
it was made an Ecclesiastical Parish
Up to that data it had been part of the
Ecclesiastical Parish of Thornton-in-Craven
In 1839 the Church was built, and endowed
by Miss Richardson Currer of Eshton Hall
and consecrated on September 30th by the
Right Reverend Charles Thomas Longley, D.D.,
Lord Bishop of Ripon.
