Source=h:/!Genuki/RecordTranscriptions/YKS/YKSMelsStrays.txt ACOMB
Found amongst the headstones in All Saints churchyard at Long Marston,
between Wetherby and York.
I am assuming the "Bilton" is Bilton [in Ainsty] the neighbouring parish,
and not the Bilton where I live!
However, we all know, we can't assume anything with this
hobby................

"In memory of William the son of Quintin and Alice ACOMB of Bilton who
departed this life June 15th 1828 aged 34 years"

AGAR
One for Liz!
Found amongst the headstones in All Saints churchyard at Helmsley, ERY
Although only a few miles between the Helmsley parish and Nunnington, when I
spotted the SURNAME, it was too good to pass by, knowing we had an AGAR
searcher on the list. And in its own way, it is quite an unusual
inscription..............possibly two brothers?

"In memory of George and William AGAR late of Low Wood, Nunnington
George died December 18th 1861 aged 86 years
William died December 18th 1862 aged 72 years
Boast not thyself of tomorrow
For thou knowst not what a day may bring forth"

Liz, are they in your tree? And there were probably 3 or 4 other AGAR
headstones all adjacent to each other - sorry, I didn't have the time to
take them down.
