The Mausoleum

The Mausoleum was originally considerably higher and contained the coffins of the Becher and Polhill family members commemorated on the Memorial Tablets in the Chancel.
In April 1961, the precarious state of the structure led to the removal of the Polhill coffins and the lowering of the roof to its present height.
