Church Services Details
For over 800 years there have been services within our Church and we are proud to worship and carry on that tradition.
Our 8.00 am Service, on the second and fourth Sunday, is a said Holy Communion, which uses the Service within The Book of Common Prayer (Traditional)
Our 11.00 am Service is as follows:
First and fourth Sundays, a Sung Eucharist we use Common Worship (Contemporary) Our Choir lead us in all the singing. As in every Eucharistic celebration at All Saints, all confirmed Christians are welcome and urged to come forward to receive the Bread and Wine of the Holy Communion. Those not confirmed may come to the Altar with a hymnbook to indicate they would like a blessing. The Service lasts about one hour and is followed by Coffee in the Chapter House
Third and fifth Sundays, a Sung Eucharist, Common worship - otherwise the same as the first and fourth Sundays. On the first Sunday, our Junior Church go out for their Sunday School in the Chapter House during the first hymn, returning for the receipt of Communion.
Second Sunday, Matins & Sermon, we use the Service of Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer - Our Choir again lead us in all the singing. Our 6.00 pm Service, every Sunday, is Sung Evensong & Sermon. The singing again led by the Choir. Additionally, there is a short Holy Communion Service, using Traditional worship, following Evensong on the second Sunday only
