SUNDON

"SUNDON, a parish in the hundred of Flitt, county Bedford, 4 miles from Dunstable, its post town, and 5 north west of Luton. The village is situated near the ancient Icknield Street, under the chalk hills. The living is a vicarage, annexed to that of Streatley, in the diocese of Ely, value £162. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The parochial charities produce about £2 per annum. The Wesleyans have a chapel."

"LOWER SUNDON, a hamlet in the parish of Sundon, consists of the vicarage, a handsome house in the Elizabethan style, two farm-houses and a few cottages. ½ mile south east of Upper Sundon"

"UPPER SUNDON, a hamlet in the parish of Sundon, county of Bedfordshire, ½ mile north west of Lower Sundon."
