"BEADLAM, and Nawton are two small townships, in the parish of Kirkdale, in the wapentake of Ryedale, about three miles and a half from that town. Population of Beadlam, at the census taken in 1831, 151, and that of Nawton, 337.
Please see Helmsley Parish for the 1834 trades directory for this township."
