Amplifier (IF) Type A3711

The radar signals are fed into the console Type 61 at an intermediate frequency of 45 Mc/s, the conversion from the original RF having already been made in a head amplifier in the aerial cabin. In the console Type 61, the IF, detector, and video output stages are all contained in the amplifier Type A.3711.

This panel consists of three units: Amplifying unit (IF) Type 294, Amplifying unit (IF) Type 296 and Amplifying unit (IF) Type 302.

The 302 is a pre-amplifier and feeds the 294 which is a switchable narrow band amp. The 296 is a wideband amp. and detector. The output drives the Amplifying Unit (A.J. and video).
