Switch Unit Type 207

H2S was a Blind Bombing Radar - it was developed from the early Airborne Interception (A.I.) equipment. The H2S transmitters contained some of the earliest 10cm magnetrons. H2S employed a rotating aerial with a parabolic reflector, carried underneath the aircraft in a Radome.
The received signals were displayed on a Plan Position Indicator (PPI) display. The smaller CRT on the Indicator unit provided a Height Display. Information on aircraft height, airspeed, heading and wind drift were all fed into the Switch Unit Type 207, and thence to the Bombing Computor Mk14 for computing the bomb release point.
