"GREAT RAVELEY, a parish in the hundred of Hurstingstone, county Hunts, 3½ miles south-west of Ramsey. It is situated in the eastern part of the county. The village, which is small, is wholly agricultural. The living is a perpetual curacy annexed to that of Upwood, in the diocese of Ely. The church has long been in ruins.
