The Ancient Parish of REIGHTON

"REIGHTON, a parish in the wapentake of Dickering; 2½ miles SE. of Hunmanby. The living is a discharged vicarage, of which the Rev. John Strickland is the incumbent, and Sir William Strickland, Bart. the patron. The Church is dedicated to St. Peter (see Churches for photograph) It was formerly a chapel to Hunmanby, to which it still pays a small sum annually towards repairs, &c. Pop. 217."


"DOTTRELL INN, a public house in the township and parish of Reighton; ¼ mile S. of Reighton, 5 miles from Bridlington."
