"BRANDSBY, a parish in the wapentake of Bulmer; 6 miles ENE. of Easingwold. (Brandsby Hall, the seat of Francis Cholmley, Esq.) Here is a very neat little church (see Churches for photograph) dedicated to All Saints, the living is a rectory, in the patronage of Thomas Smith, Esq. Population including Stearsby, 277."


"FOULRICE, in the parishes of Brandsby and Whenby, and wapentake of Bulmer; ¾ mile WNW. of Whenby, 7 miles E. of Easingwold."


"STEARSBY, in the parish of Brandsby, and wapentake of Bulmer; 1¼ miles ESE. of Brandsby, 6 miles ENE. of Easingwold. Pop. included with Brandsby."
