"SAINT JOHN'S, a parish-town, in the township of Throapham, upper-division of Strafforth and Tickhill, liberty of Tickhill; 6 miles from Tickhill, 8 from Rotherham, 50 from York. Pop. included in Throapham. The Church, peculiar, is a perpetual curacy, in the deanry of Doncaster, value, p.r. £33. 8s. 6d. Patron, the Lord Chancellor."
