The Ancient Parish of WATH UPON DEARNE

"WATH UPON DEARNE, a parish-town, in the upper division of Strafforth and Tickhill, liberty of Tickhill; 6 miles N. of Rotherham, 9 from Doncaster, 11 from Sheffield, 45 from York. Pop. 1,001. The Church is a vicarage, dedicated to All-Saints (see Churches for photograph), in the deanry of Doncaster, value, ~£15. 10s. 2½d. Patrons, the Dean and Cannons of Christ Church, Oxford.

Here is a National School, founded by the Trustees of Mrs. Ellis's charity, in 1819."
